The upcoming 2009, 118th Cambria County Fair will be here before you know it. Now, is the time to act and put plans in motion. "CREATE!!!"
It is planting season. Tell me you aren't thinking about the upcoming fair competition of finding that one great vegetable or that one "beauteous" plant that will grow stronger, taller and, better, than the dude's that won last year!
Hey Girls, did you ever work with Alpaca yarns? Those beautiful big eyed, long necked furry things we had in Fair for the first time last year produce yarn that is soooooo sooffffffffl. Make a pair of Alpaca yarn socks for winter warmth and then enter them in the Fair.
The Tractor Pull was a hit, so now is the time for you guys to get out there and start tuning up the old "Putt Putt". How about those square dancers? Get out your cowboy boots and your cowgirl hats, we'll be the do-si-do'in and line dancin' fools!
Livestock was everywhere, why I never saw so many animals in all my life! Watching those children and big folk handle those animals is just a beautiful thing! Imagine how much time and effort they put into the care and training. I could go on and on!! So how much FUN did YOU have at the Fair?
Things are changing. There's a new roof on Building 3, fresh paint on our fence and benches. New paint in the Dairy Barn Lean-to and the Milk House, and we just revamped part of the grounds, it's a new Attitude!
Our Fathers, Mothers, Grandfathers, and Grandmothers Fair is on the way back, and we would love for you to be a part of it! Come and join the fun. Be a part of Cambria County History. Help guarantee that our Agricultural Heritage will flourish and grow with the development of the new century. Look around and see what we have accomplished, it gives a sense of pride to those that have given their time and dollars. Help us strengthen the foundation of the Fairgrounds, it's part of your past, let it be part of you and your childrens future.
