THERE ARE MANY CHANGES IN ALL DEPARTMENTS, PLEASE READ ALL RULES CAREFULLY.
 
ANIMAL HEALTH RULES ARE SET FORTH BY THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND MUST BE ADHERED TO:
 
PENNSYLVANIA REQUIREMENTS:
1
An Animal Owner or Caretaker’s Verification of Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) form must accompany all PA rabbits and must be presented upon arrival at the exhibition.
2
All animals must be free of infectious and contagious diseases and a statement of this is required on the CVI (the statement is pre-printed on the CVI). Animals appearing unhealthy upon arrival may not enter the exhibition grounds.
 
OUT OF STATE RABBITS:
1.
A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued within the 60 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition is required.
2.
All animals must be free of infectious and contagious diseases and a statement of this is required on the CVI (the statement is pre-printed on the CVI). Animals appearing unhealthy upon arrival may not enter the exhibition grounds.
3.

Rabbit Skill-A-Thon - Monday, September 6, 2010 at   4:00 PM
 
SCHEDULE FOR JUDGING OPEN CLASS:
Pee Wee - 8:00 AM
Open Class - 9:00 AM
 
SCHEDULE FOR JUDGING 4-H AND VOCATIONAL:
Sunday, September 5, 2009 at 1:00 PM
2.
Rabbit Pens, will be filled “First Come First Served” by Date”.
3.
Each Rabbit must be individually identified by a legible 4-H club tattoo in the Left Ear.
4.
Rabbits will be screened upon arrival for health and show condition. No rabbit showing signs of contagious or infectious disease will be admitted to the show.
5.
The department superintendent will have final judgment is resolving any dispute. Should the Superintendent be unavailable the co-Superintendent will resolve the issue.
6.
No Rabbit may compete in more than one class.
7.
All 4-H Club members must have their project rabbit(s) by June 1, 2010. Doe and Litter are considered as one.
8.
Each exhibitor may show 2 Show rabbits Plus 1 Meat Pen. 4-H exhibitors showing Meat Pen Rabbits must show their own project on sale night. Exceptions; Please Refer to Substitute Showman Rule. If these rules are not followed Meat Pen Rabbits will be excluded from the sale. The Grand and Reserve Champion must be sold at the Livestock Sale
9.
All rabbits must be checked into the Rabbit Barn by 6:00 P.M. Saturday
10.
Following the Market Show, members are required to inform the Barn superintendent or Extension Staff of animal(s) to be cataloged for the sale. Failure to comply will result in the animal(s) being sold through the Livestock Auction.
A deduction of 2% of the gross amount paid at the Livestock sale will be deducted to be used for advertising and other sale expenses

Doe and Litters are limited to 5 Babies
13.
Feed and Water containers must be provided by the owner when rabbits are entered

Rabbits will be released from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the last day of the Fair

NEW - PEE WEE CLASSES - This is a new section for the Rabbit Barn introducing children between the ages of 3 and 4 to the Fair experience.
